Vibration Status as of 10 March 2026: (Before cleaning deposition):
FFT SPECTRUM INTERPRETATIONS:
- Vibration data was collected at 2850 RPM; the overall vibration levels measured on the motor bearings are within the acceptable limits.
- The overall vibration values vary with the RPM of the VFD drive motor, causing in changes in the vibration values on the motor bearings
- Velocity signature indicating dominant 1X motor rotational speed at motor bearings, which indicates unbalance symptoms in fan impeller, which is above acceptable limits.
- Fluctuations in vibration levels were observed in the motor’s NDE bearing in the horizonal direction during data collection.
SUGGESTED ACTION PLANS:
- As a preliminary action clean the impeller and also motor cooling fan for dust accumulation which generating unbalance forces.
- Health status to be reassessed after above maintenance action has been carried out.

Vibration Status as of 04 April 2026 (After cleaning deposition):
FFT SPECTRUM INTERPRETATIONS:
- Vibration data was collected at 2466 RPM; the overall vibration levels measured on the motor bearings are within the acceptable limits.
- Following the cleaning of the impeller deposition, a significant improvement in vibration performance was observed. The vibration level at the motor NDE bearing decreased from 5.06 mm/sec to 1.38 mm/sec, indicating that the accumulated material on the impeller was a major contributor to the elevated vibration.
- The overall vibration values vary with the RPM of the VFD drive motor, causing in changes in the vibration values on the motor bearings
- FFT spectrum shows a dominant peak of 41.1 Hz ( i.e. 1X RPM ) and its harmonics at motor bearings, which are within acceptable limits and needs to be monitored at regular intervals.
SUGGESTED ACTION PLANS:
- FGT BLOWER-1 was found to be operating in good condition After deposition cleaning at the time of measurement, vibration trends are recommended to be monitored on regular intervals.
